EPILOGUE : A FITTING END

           Botan sighed with relief, “I’m so glad we finally figured out how to get everyone home.” She paused, “Or maybe I should say I’m glad Kurama finally found a way to get them all home.”

           “Finally?” Koenma was insulted; she made it sound as though he hadn’t been trying. Then he got an idea.

           Assuming his most confident and commanding stance and tone (a commanding toddler hee hee ) he addressed her, “I shouldn’t be telling you this, Botan, but I knew how to send them home from the beginning – I summoned them here because I knew their help would be needed.”

          Botan’s eyes shimmered in admiration; she clasped her hands in front of her, “Really Koenma sir? Oh sir, you’re so smart, and prepared, and…” she stopped as she remembered something, “Hey, wait a minute,” she placed her hands on her hips, “then why were you yelling at Yusuke about the ‘terrible mistake’ and how he needed to figure out how to send them home before something terrible happened?” she eyed him skeptically. “And why didn’t you send them home after we defeated the demons?  Why did we still have to climb that stupid mountain?”

           “Well, I, umm… that was to, that is to say I…” Koenma furiously backpedaled as Botan stomped towards him, brandishing her oar, he covered his head with his arms, cowering, “Please don’t hurt me Botan! I’m sorry, I’m sorry!”
