History and Personality: One of the hottest guys in school, Kiley comes off as a shallow flirt, and he does nothing to discourage his playboy image. Momo unwittingly draws him into the plot when she tries to distract Sae's attention from Toji by claiming she likes Kiley. Unbeknownst to Momo, Kiley's been interested in her for a while and is more than happy to pursue her. But like Sae, Kiley is not what he seems. Secretly chivalrous, Kiley offers support in Momo's times of need --at one point he's her only friend. He's even willing to help her try to win Toji's affections.
Relationships: While Kiley is popular with just about everyone, especially the girls, the only person he seems to have any interest in getting to know is Momo - and most of the time he's bugging the heck out of her. But when push comes to shove Kiley is always there for Momo and he looks out for her. More than anything he wants her to be happy. Kiley truly does love Momo, and eventually she discovers that she loves him too.
Because Kiley and Toji are both interested in Momo (and are alternately with her in the series) they are both enemies and allies. They occasionally help one another or work together for Momo's good, but generally they don't see eye to eye. There's more than a little jealousy on both sides of this rivalry.
Kiley's longest standing relationship is with his brother, Ryo, who is a total scum bag. Ryo has a nasty habit of lying to get women, and of stealing Kiley's girlfriends! He even tries to steal Mom (can you say gross! He's way too old to be stealing his high school brother's girlfriends...). Needless to say, Kiley does not like his brother much at all, though Ryo pretends to care about him.
Kiley has very little willing interaction with Sae, the bratty backstabber who wants to steal Momo's life! However, he does work to deter her from ruining Momo's relationship with Toji in the beginning of the series. He seems to be the only one in school who sees right through her - probably because she's just like his brother. Ironically, Sae ends up dating Ryo for some time. At the end, when Sae has become a better person, she is the one who helps reunite Kiley with Momo - though she claims she only did it to see one last dramatic plot twist!
Kiley's only other relationship seems to be with the school nurse, Misao. Misao went to college with Ryo and he hired her to tutor Kiley in junior high. Kiley has a very deep crush on Misao, but she is in love with Ryo. For some time Kiley is torn between his feelings for Misao and his feelings for Momo.
Why we love him: He's so cool no one would think he could be so sweet, but Kiley can be completely selfless when it comes to Momo.
