History and Personality: Sniper works for Sensui in his attempt to destroy all humans. He can shoot objects at people over great distances with absolute precision, simply by using his spirit energy. Hence the alias "Sniper." Anything can be a weapon to him. He can also leave trace marks on people by concentrating his energy into them. One of the coolest things about him is he has a motorcycle, and he's really good with it. Sniper seems to have joined Sensui because he believes that humans are too cruel to continue existing. The one memory of his childhood that we see is of children torturing a kitten. Sniper is appears rather unemotional, however he must be affected by things if seeing a kitten tortured hurt him so much he wants to kill people... uh... yeah...
He never dies in the series, although he comes close when Hiei drives his sword through his chest. The Doctor, Minoru Kamiya, treats him and he goes back to study more. At the end of the Chapter Black Saga t appears that both Sniper and the Doctor will continue to live and try to make the world a better place, in their own ways. Sniper has a sister and a brother, and his sister is psychic.
Sniper also has a handgun, but he doesn't really need it, since he has his awesome power. He does know how to use it though, so I would *not* suggest making this guy mad.
Relationships: Sniper does not have relationships. He doesn't like people. He works for Sensui because he thinks Sensui's cause lines up with his own and that his plan has a good chance of succeeding. He's loyal though. until his final encounter with the Urameshi team.
Techniques: Sniper can use his spirit energy to shoot small objects over long distances with deadly precision using only his palm and the flick of a finger. The first time he attacks Yusuke it is with a small piece of eraser... by concentrating his spirit energy into another person he can create targets on them which will allow the objects he shoots at them to follow them indefinitely. When using this technique Sniper can utilize objects of any size by concentrating his energy into them. In his final fight with Yusuke he uses everything from butcher knives to mac trucks.
Why we love him: Because, even though we know better, we are hopelessly attracted to beautiful, silent, angsty guys with bad pasts and bad attitudes who seriously kick butt without having to get their clothes dirty... It's the only explanation I've got, because I loved him from the moment he showed up on the screen and my first thought was "oh please don't let him die! I don't care if he's evil!"
