Let it Snow, Let it Snow, Let it Snowrunt

Our heroes are walking through a snow covered scape, hoping to reach the pokemon center before the next storm hits.  Their next stop (after that) is down the mountain as Serrosey town where they will catch the ferry to Sootopolis city and Ash’s final gym battle in Hoenn.  Spotting the center they take off running without a care, but a strange pokemon watches from the forest.  At the pokemon center Nurse Joy tells them they should stay a while since a huge blizzard is supposed to blow in.  Brock hits on Joy, but before anyone can react the pokemon that was watching them outside appears and turns him into an icicle…  The pokemon is snowrunt and Nurse Joy says it comes into the center everytime they have visitors.  Apparently it takes things from people and then runs off, but it always brings them back eventually.  Now that that is much consolation to Ash when the pokemon swipes his badge case.  Ash isn’t going to wait so He, corfish, and Pikachu run after the pokemon, with the others in hot pursuit.  Ash demands the badges back.  Sonw runt takes out one badge and tosses it at Ash, freezing it before he catches it.  Then it slips the case… under its arm?... and uses double team to confuse them.  Pikachu and Corfish collide trying to catchit and the pokemon runs off once more.  Now Joy is worried because usually snowrunt would have given the case back by now.

Team Rocket is wandering through the snow in search of the twerps, and they are tired and frozen, and not happy at all.  They are afraid they’ll starve.  But then they see their salvation – the Pokemon Center!

In the center Ash and the others are on the trial of snowrunt.  They find one more badge on the floor and then corfish runs into the kitchen.  They think it has found snowrunt, but the first thing they see is Team Rocket snacking.  As our heroes prepare to give Team Rocket what’s for snowrunt comes out and Ash chases it again.  Team Rocket is angry about being ignored, but they’re even more upset when Ash dodges an icy wind attack and they get frozen over.  Of course, Nurse Joy hasn’t forgotten them, and neither has snowruntCorfish and Snowrunt send Team Rocket flying and Snowrunt opens the window so they can fly out.  They thank snowrunt and it act like it is going to give back the badges, but instead it freezes him and then jumps out the window with the case.  As soon as Ash thaws he jumps out and takes off after it.  The blizzard is coming so the others run off to find him.

Ash is chasing snowrunt when the pokemon falls down a steep incline.  Ash catches it and shields it from smashing against the rocks.  But he is knocked out by the blow.  The others aren’t able to find his and are forced to return to the center because they can’t see through the blowing snow.  Ash awakes in an igloo with snowrunt.  Apparently snowrunt built it.  Snowrunt offers Ash an apple, but Ash doesn’t trust the pokemon.  It promises not to freeze him, so he takes the apple.  He takes a bite and then gives it to snowruntSnowrunt then gives him two apples and then runs off with Ash’s hat.  Ash is mad, but snowrunt took the hat to the pokemon center and, once the snow stops leads the others back to Ash. However, snowrunt still hasn’t given back the badges, and it seems like something is wrong…

Just then Team Rocket snatches Pikachu and Snowrunt.  Pikachu can’t get out of the “portable pokemon prison”, but snowrunt can.  Unfortunately Jesse has finally learned to use wobuffet and she sends snowrunt’s icy wind back at them.  They take off in their balloon with Pikachu, and Ash and company are in hot pursuit.  Nurse Joy takes a huge jump on her snowmobile with Ash clutching behind her.  He asks snowrunt to help him and tosses the pokemon toward the balloon.  Snowrunt saves Pikachu and freezes Team Rocket.  They all land on the ground and Ash frees Pikachu.  Snowrunt and Pikachu send Team Rocket flying.  It’s time for our heroes to head out again, but snowrunt still doesn’t want to give back the badges.  In fact, it grabs onto Ash and won’t let go.  They decide that snowrunt really like Ash and won’t give the case back because then Ash won’t play with it anymore.  Ash tells snowrunt that it can come with them which makes it very happy.  But it won’t just come with him, it wants to battle.  Ash sends out Pikachu, who has some trouble against double team.  Ash has Pikachu use iron tail on the snow which ends double team and allows Pikachu to attack.  Ash catches snowrunt, and gets his badges back!

Back at the pokemon center snowrunt gets all healed up and then they introduce it to all the other pokemon.  Of course, snow runt still thinks it’s fun to freeze people, and using cumbustkin’s firespin to thaw it might not have been the wisest move ever… Ash is going to have to lay down some ground rules for snowrunt – and things are certainly going to be interesting from now on.

Notes: That is a huge pokemon center.

I love the visual presentation of this theme song.  I think it’s the best ever.  But it shows a lot of people who aren’t actually in any episodes…  And it makes all the gym leaders look like ancient tribal leaders…

                        They sang the episode title…

Nurse Joy has a new voice!  ARGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!  I hate that…

“Why do the twerps choose such harsh terrain when they know we’re following them.” – Jesse

Wow Team Rocket is stupid… they should shut up and eat…

They’re all worried about a blizzard, but they leave the window open?

Ash is funny… he’s all mad at snowrunt, but when it is in danger he risks his life to save it.

That was the shortest blizzard ever.

Chimecho has a santa hat ^_^

So knew that was coming… now Ash has another pokemon that is way too attached to him… hope it doesn’t steal his stuff for the rest of the series.

Well, at least Ash will have six pokemon for the league competition… but I can see a league disaster in the making…
