Less is Morrison
It’s time to eat! Our heroes have paused for lunch and their pokemon are all out for the fun. Ash finishes first and takes snowrunt and Pikachu to practice ice beam. May wants to train too, but munchlax eats the other pokemons’ food and then takes off when May scolds it. Looks like she’s going to spend her day chasing it down. Meanwhile, snowrunt still hasn’t gotten the hang of ice beam. And Ash’s training is interrupted by a falling… sandwich? Immediately followed by a red headed guy demanding his sandwich back. Munchlax appears and eats the sandwich. The guy screams loud… and then seems to be just fine. His name is Morrison and he wants to win the Hoenn league… and be the greatest pokemon master ever. Of course, that is Ash’s goal, so their battle of words soon becomes a pokemon battle. Morrison has a beldum and Ash is using Pikachu of course. Beldum only has one attack so it looks like an easy win for Pikachu. But beldum is faster than it looks, and it gets two direct hits on Pikachu. The match ends in a draw. But Morrison still needs one badge… so off he goes. And, ummm… so does munchlax. At some point during the battle it disappeared…
Team Rocket is starving and playing rock, paper, scissors over their last morsel of food when it disappears. They get in a fight over who took it, but we know it was munchlax. May finds munchlax and calls it back. They head to the nearest pokemon center to make some more pokeblock, but they run into Morrison just outside the center. They end up in a race for the doors. Everything they do becomes a competition from eating to the hot springs… When it’s time for bed Morrison heads outside – evidently he doesn’t sleep in pokemon centers… he sleeps in trees. Morrison offers to let the rest of them sleep in the tree, but only Ash is stupid enough to volunteer. It’s difficult, since he doesn’t have a hammock, and beldum has to save him. Morrison offers Ash an extra hammock and they have a great night.
The next day May makes some special pokeblock for munchlax. It is Professor Oak’s recipe for snorlax.
Ash is out training, but he and Morrison find the same perfect spot… so they arm wrestle, and then they race… Team Rocket sees and decides to take beldum! Ash falls down the side of the mountain, followed by Morrison. Both are a little hungry, and they see one apple on a tree and race for it. They each end up with half the apple. But the joy is short lived as Team Rocket swipes their pokemon and drops a cage on them. And neither boy has any other pokemon. They try to knock over the cage, but they aren’t having much luck. Finally they break the bars and chase after Team Rocket. They jump a wide ravine and Morrison misses; Ash has to grab him. The boys jump onto the balloon and bite holes in the balloon. But all that means is they are all on the ground, and Team Rocket has pokemon… unlike our hero and his friend… they battle with themselves! And they win! Their pokemon are free and they send Team Rocket blasting off again.
That evening they separate – Morrison heading for his final badge and our heroes for Slateport. The Grand Festival is only two weeks away!
Location: On the way to Slateport city
Notes: It’s already been a month?
Sometimes Ash is so mature, and then he gets so stupid…
Wow, Ash is strong…
Imagine how bruised Ash and Morrison will be in the morning…
Love how Morrison always says take-down as if it is a surprise that he is using that attack – it is the only attack the pokemon knows…
Hey! Morrison has marks on his cheeks – they haven’t done that in a while.
