What You Seed is What You Get

    We're off for the next badge in Lavaridge town... or are we?  May wants to hit the pokemon contest in Fall Arbor town first.  After a brief argument Brock points out that the towns are next to one another and Ash agrees to head to the Pokemon contest.

    Team Rocket is wandering around, unable to find the twerps and very hungry.  They run across a watermelon patch.  In the middle is a huge watermelon, and it's rolling right toward them.  They are thrilled... until it says 'electrode' and it bowls them over, sending them blasting off and into a river.  (It was an electrode painted as a watermelon for camouflage so that it could guard the patch.) They had already taken some watermelons, and those are carried away by the river.

    Meanwhile Ash and co. have stopped for lunch and they find three watermelons.  They eat them, and Ash gives Treecko some seeds so that he can work on his bullet seed.  They are attacked by a grovile (evolved form of Treecko?) and a slugma.  Their trainer shows up and accuses Ash and co. of stealing watermelons! Her name is Natasha and she calls herself the melon master.  They try to explain, but she's not listening.  Finally electrode shows up and says they aren't the thieves.  Natasha apologizes and they forgive her.  She then decides to give them a tour.  As a side note... she's a little off, and overreacts to everything.

    She manages the patch by herself, with her pokemon.  And she claims to have never lost a double battle.  Ash challenges her: grovile and slugma vs. Treecko and Corfish. 

    Team Rocket is back in the patch and plan to steal watermelon for the boss... O.o (and electrode looks just like a felt when I heard it... Team Rocket is crazy weird... I'm worried about them...)

    -K- Ash seriously needs a new strategy, because he keeps using the same defense against Natasha and he's getting pretty beat up.  But electrode interrupts and they all run to the patch to see Team Rocket stealing watermelon in a Cacnea robot.  Team Rocket tapes up grovile's mouth so it can't use bullet seed so Ash has Treecko do it.  And he gets it on the second try!  As the rest of the group catches falling melons, Pikachu sends Team Rocket blasting off again.

    Now we return to the battle.  Treecko doesn't seem to be able to use bullet seed anymore, so Ash has to resort to pounds.  The battle ends with bullet seed vs. bullet seed.  Treecko manages to pull it off, but grovile's attack lasts longer and Natasha wins.  Treecko's okay, but he's got that look in his eye... like when he went off to perfect pound on his own.

    Natasha gives them more melons, but Treecko is sitting alone.  Ahs and Pikachu try to cheer him up.  But he isn't listening so they spit watermelon seeds at him.  In return he attacks them with bullet seed.  Ash is kinda sad that Treecko attacked him, and Treecko looks rather sad himself...

   Location: somewhere between Maville and Fall Arbor town   

    Notes:     They eat watermelon with salt?  Yuck!

                   Has anyone else noticed that Ash actually trains his pokemon now outside of battle?  He's learning, I'm so proud ^_^

                  They get accused of stealing a lot in Hoenn...  

                  A cacnea robot?  Where does Team Rocket get this stuff?

                  James introduces them as 'watermelon felons'  *shakes head*, oh James...
