A Scare to Remember

            Ash and co. are on their way, and Pikachu is in a great mood.  Until a tree tries to fall directly on it that is!  When the dust settles Team Rocket appears in a new machine.  They have captured Pikachu, and their Grabber is electric proof.  When our heroes try to run to the rescue they fall in a pitfall.  But while Team Rocket is gloating their machine falls apart and then explodes!  Everyone goes blasting off.  Ash reaches for Pikachu but it is sent flying farther than everyone else.  At least the rest of our heroes end up together… although they’re stuck in trees… Jesse, James, and Wobuffet end up together as well, but Meowth is missing.  Jesse wants to head for base, but they don’t know where they are…

            Meanwhile our heroes and their pokemon head out to search for Pikachu…

            Meowth and Pikachu ended up together and there is a very large problem – Pikachu has lost his memory!  Meowth decides to make up a new past for him… He starts out by telling him that Giovanni is a nice guy and that Pikachu is part of Team Rocket.  As they head for Team Rocket’s base Meowth continues to tell Pikachu lies, saying what great friends they are.  But Pikachu keeps saving his life, first from pokemon, and then from a fall of a cliff, and he begins to feel bad.

            Our heroes finally pick up the tracks of Pikachu and Meowth…

            Pikachu is really being nice to Meowth, and Meowth actually reciprocates!  The two are getting along pretty well, but Ash and co. are hot on their trail.  And now they realize that pikachu couldn’t be fighting Meowth.

            Team Rocket arrives at their base just before Meowth and Pikachu arrive.  Pikachu starts to attack Team Rocket, but Meowth quickly intervenes.  He explains everything to Jesse and James who start being all nice to Pikachu and telling him more lies.

            Fortunately Swellow has found the Team Rocket base and tells Ash which way to go.  When Ash and co. arrive at the base Pikachu is playing with Team Rocket.  Ash tries to talk to Pikachu, but Pikachu goes with Team Rocket! He even attacks Ash.  Ash is confused, and very sad.  Brock realizes that Pikachu must have amnesia, but Pikachu trust Meowth.  Ash refuses to fight Pikachu, but he isn’t giving up.  As they head off in their balloon Ash climbs on.  James has Pikachu attack which sends them all flying again.  Fortunately, this time, Ash and Pikachu end up together.  They fall down a long ways into a raging river.  Ash catches Pikachu and protects it.  He remembers their time in Hoenn and eventually passes out.  When he awakes he is on the shore, and Pikachu us there.  And Pikachu has its memory back ^_^  Brock, Max, and May run up to them just before Team Rocket falls into the river.  Pikachu sends them blasting off in short order.  All is right in the world once more ^_^

            Notes: What is up with all the rhyming this episode… or at least in the beginning…

                        Wobuffet is doing stretches in the background in the entire scene where Team Rocket decides what to do after crashing into a tree…

                        James is upset because Jesse wants to leave Meowth.  He says “I think your logic hides the fact that you don’t care.”

                        James is calling for Meowth, and Jesse is calling for their base.  She says, “why won’t you answer?” and James responds, “Um, Jesse… bases can’t talk.” And the look on his face is priceless.  Later he tells her “Jesse, our base in inanimate.”

                         Meowth keeps doing little asides… talking to himself…

                        The Team Rocket base is pathetic…

                        James has Pikachu jump up on his shoulder and then complains that it is heavy…
