Inuyasha
Inuyasha is our lovable (sometimes) hero. He is a 'hanyou', that is, a half demon, because his father (demon lord of the western lands) mated a human woman. That means he lives a long time, heals quickly, and is very strong, fast, agile, etc. What he wants is to become a full demon. Inuyasha is a little rough around the edges (sarcastic, mouthy, yells a lot...), that's because he has never been accepted by anyone - human or demon - except his mother (who is long dead). Loud mouth, rudeness, and temper aside he's actually got a heart of gold. He tries to make excuses, but he really wants to help people, and he's very protective of his friends. His two main relationships are with Kagome and Sesshoumaru. Sesshoumaru is his brother, and they hate each other. That's about the sum of that relationship. Kagome is... well, Kagome is complicated. He's fiercely protective of her, and it's obvious he has feelings for her, but she's from the future and is the reincarnation of his first love... yeah, that makes things difficult. Especially since his first love, Kikyo, was resurrected, and he feels the need to protect her. He's a little torn right now... a little torn about his wish to become a demon too... Oh, and he hates Naraku because Naraku tricked Kikyo and himself, resulting in her death and his being sealed to a tree for 50 years...
Weapons: Claws (iron reaver soul stealer - or something like that-, blades of blood)
Tetsusaiga (wind scar, backlash wave, red Tetsusaiga, adamant barrage) - sword that his father left to him, it looks like a rusty old blade, but transforms with the desire to protect humans. It can kill a hundred demons in one blow. The sword also possesses the ability to acquire the powers of demons it has slain.
