Miroku and the Poisonous Insects

It's terrible, and rather inconvenient in battle, when Naraku sends out his poisonous insects.  It makes it so our favorite monk can't use his most powerful weapon - the wind tunnel.  And, when he is forced to use it anyway, we all have to watch him in pain!  Heart wrenching I tell you.  But I was thinking that Naraku, while meaning to weaken Miroku and the group, is actually unintentionally helping Miroku.

Miroku has had that wind tunnel his entire life.  He has turned his weakness into a strength, and a powerful weapon for defeating evil.  But he has come to rely on the curse more than on his own spiritual powers.  If he had managed to find Naraku and kill him, releasing himself from the curse, he would have been in serious trouble.  He would have been wandering around practically defenseless, and he probably has more than a few demon enemies who would take advantage.  So, by forcing Miroku to stop relying on his wind tunnel, Naraku has forced him to strengthen his other powers.  Now, when Naraku is destroyed, Miroku will be strong enough to defend himself (and Sango ~.^  Not that she needs it usually...)
