Storyline Pg. 2

Through the journey they all become a lot closer, especially Inuyasha and Kagome.  It's obvious to the rest of the world that the two are in love, but it doesn't appear that it will ever work out.  For one thing, the dead priestess Kikyo was brought back to life by a demon witch, and her goal is to take Inuyasha to hell with her.  Unfortunately Inuyasha feels obligated to her because he was the cause of her death.  So, even though Inuyasha loves Kagome, he'll never act on it. Doesn't mean he's not insanely jealous and overprotective of her though.  Especially when the wolf demon prince, Kouga, decides he wants Kagome to be his woman.  Not that Kagome ever would, after all, she loves Inuyasha and has promised to stay with him forever.

Kagome has other problems too, like nosy friends, missed school days, her grandfather's litany of illnesses and excuses (to explain her missing school so much), test that she hasn't been to class to prepare for, and Hojo, the boy at school who seems hopelessly stuck on her.

With all of this going on Inuyasha is a sometimes humorous, often confusing, jumble of situations, events, and relationships.  But it has some great themes on acceptance and strength.

Oh, did I mention that only Inuyasha and Kagome can go through the well?  Or that Inuyasha and Kagome often fight and he never apologizes? How about the fact that Miroku tries to touch the backside of every woman under 50 that he meets, and he asks them all to bear his children?  Or that Sango gets really upset at this because she likes him - and he likes her too?  Kagome has a little brother who idolizes Inuyasha and tries to take care of his big sister.  And her grandfather has a little bit of a problem adjusting to his granddaughter being involved with a half demon...

Yep, Kagome's just your typical middle school girl... right.
