Orphen
Orphen is the main character of this series (obviously). As a young boy he ran away from an orphanage and was found by Childman, who took him to the Tower of Fang to teach him sorcery. Orphen is, quite possibly, the most talented sorcerer ever to live. But he isn't much into practicing, something Childman often berated him for in his childhood. Orphen is far more interested in Azalie than his studies. Azalie was a fellow orphan, and they actually ran away together. At the school he became her apprentice (as soon as she was at a high enough level to need one). Although she is several years older than him, Orphen believes himself to be in love with Azalie. That is why he is trying to find her and save her from the spell that transformed her. Orphen is cocky, emotional, short tempered (at times), and hard to understand. He's also powerful, loyal, caring, and honorable. He can't even let Volcan die, although Volcan probably deserves to, and he's constantly betraying Orphen. Orphen is intelligent, and full of conviction, he's willing to give his life to save others. He's a very complex character, and you really feel for him. He can be moody, and difficult to read, but he is very accepting of others and very respectful of other's beliefs. He's also an awesome fighter ^_^ Oh yeah, Orphen is a name he gave himself because he was mad at the Tower and decided to give up his past. His actual name is Krylancelo, it's pronounced Ker-lance-eh-low (with the 'ker' being said as in 'kermit the frog'), but I sweat the first three times they used that name they called him Cursanelo (Cures - anne - el - oh). Whatever *shrug*
