Naraku is the villain of the series. He used to be a man named Onigumo, but he sold his soul to a host of demons because he wanted Kikyo, but his body was too badly burned to move. The demons overcame him and Naraku was created. Naraku is cruel and vile, manipulating others and using them for his purposes. He tricked Inuyasha and Kikyo, resulting in her death and his sealing; he destroyed Sango's people using her own brother and now controls him - not to mention he tried to use Sango to kill Inuyasha. And he cursed Miroku's family with the wind tunnel. He wants the sacred jewel, and he'll do anything to get it. He is very powerful and skilled at creating barriers, plus he can regenerate. He is constantly creating incarnations of himself or casting out useless demons and absorbing new ones. He even tries to absorb Sesshoumaru! But, he does have one weakness, he still has Onigumo's heart and it still wants Kikyo.
