Takuya vs Koji

Alright, so here’s our list of evidences for and against Takuya and Koji! Being leader of the digidestined in season 4.  In case you haven’t noticed yet, pink is in favor of Takuya and green makes a face at Brian is in favor of Koji.  Brian, since I’m so nice, I’ll let you go first.

In the episode where they fight the Royal Knights at the autumn fair the other characters only fire their snow catapult at Crusadermon (who is fighting Koji).  They are protecting him because he’s their leader!

No, it’s because Takuya is the leader, and they know he doesn’t need their help.

In the episode where they are fighting the royal knights in the forest kingdom and then travel to Seraphimon’s castle with Gatumon they all make a comment about being behind Takuya.  But Koji is the one giving the orders in this episode.  No, he says “I’m gonna” or “we should” but Takuya gives the final okay.  The others won’t move without his saying to. So Takuya is still giving the orders.  Grrrr.  Koji.  Takuya! Koji! Takuya! Koji! Does this sound familiar to anyone else?  Hmmm?  Can anyone say – JACKIE CHAN! Takuya! Koji! TAKUYA! KOJI! Yo!  Jade, Paco! Cool it!  GRRR GRRR Andrea and Brian square off, but David stands in the middle.  Taking deep breaths they relax.

Anyway, in the Steel town episode Koji and Kouichi follow Takuya outside to discuss their next move.

Plus, whenever they do a general summary, or show flashbacks when all characters are involved they show it from Takuya’s point of view (one of the final episodes, Ophanimon’s castle I think, has a great example of this)

And Takuya gives all those inspirational speeches, there are whole episodes only about him, like the one where he goes home and comes back.  He is the pivotal person, he keeps the rest going.

Koji always has to knock him to his senses, and protect everyone.

No, Koji’s stuck up and thinks he’s better than everyone else, so he always sticks his nose in where he isn’t needed.  And who became fully one with his spirit and with nature?  Not Koji!

And, the goggles!  It always comes back to the goggles.
