Hiei
Hiei- Hiei is a fire
demon.
He’s short and he has a bad attitude.
When we first meet him he is trying to take over the world.
He can be cruel and unfeeling, but he lives by a very complicated honor
code that only he understands.
He is sarcastic and only smiles at the expense of someone else (like
when his plans are working and they are suffering).
He is extremely fast, an excellent swordsman, and he can use fire
attacks (he uses black flame, so it looks kind of funny).
He is also a telepath because of the Jagan, a third eye that he had
surgically implanted into his forehead.
In his
demon form he has smaller eyes all over his body to magnify the
power. This
implies to me that he might have been a telepath from birth, but the Jagan
greatly increased his power.
Throughout the series we see him lose some of his rough edges, and he’s
definitely not evil by the end.
He still can’t be called friendly and he still looks down on others,
but he also watches out for them and respects them.
He and Kurama are somewhat close, probably because they are both
demon
‘traitors’ helping the spirit detective.
Hiei’s one true soft spot is his sister, Yukina, but she doesn’t
know they are related.
