Fanfiction Comments
When
I write my fanfics I try to stay as true to the show (as I know it) as possible.
In fact, I’ve been known to go back and totally revamp a fiction just
because one thing happened on the show later.
So this is why my YGO fics are all short and nothing important happens.
I really haven’t seen enough of the show, and I can’t find a site
that I trust. I
mean, I’ve seen Yu-Gi-Oh! From the very beginning (the American beginning –
understand, we skipped the whole first season!)
I can’t find a good transcript site, or even a summary site.
And the stuff I have found is all convoluted between American, Japanese,
Manga, and junk I think people just pulled outta the blue.
All I really know (read – believe firmly) is that Joey and Mai
definitely belong together; Yugi used to like Tea, but she liked Yami (I don’t
really see it, but that’s what I’ve read in the official fan magazine so
*shrug*); I hear Yami is really evil, but I’m not inclined to believe it (I
think maybe it had to do with that time during the fire when Yami Bakura was
messing with the puzzle and part of it turned green); I think
Kaiba likes Tea (I even have proof), and if he ever stops being a jerk (and I
think he must at some point because they always show him with the heroes in the
opening song) they could end up together ‘cuz Tea seems to like powerful men
and she’s always ready to forgive; and Serenity had better end up with Tristan
not Duke! ^__^
Anyway, I like Bakura, but I
definitely don’t see a Dark Bakura/Tea thing going on – I mean – they’ve
never even met!
Only in that one duel and she was pretty much hiding the whole time.
But I think I will give Bakura a girlfriend (just for fun).
I drew a girlfriend for Yugi, but seriously, I think he and Yami are
batching it (as in being bachelors) for life – so she probably won’t be in
any of my fics.
As for my questions – I’m not sure if Yami Bakura becomes good (or at least not evil) or not. Do the Yamis and their hosts remain merged? Do they go, stay, get their own bodies back? I just don’t know, and honestly I can’t decide which I would prefer. Maybe when the series ends I’ll write a good, long, fic. But not yet – I just have too many questions.
As for my longer stories... they are completely accurate up to all knowledge I had at the time. "Puzzle" is accurate up to information given on the dub (and some of my own research) to 05/05/04.
