Tai owns the Akebeko, a restaurant in Tokyo.  She is a friend to all the people staying at the Kamiya dojo. Sometimes she gives them information, sometimes she asks them to run errands.  She’s really sweet to them though. She has a twin sister who runs an identical restaurant in Kyoto.
